Football and Disney on Ice!

Do those go together? Not so much, but those are the highlights of our last weekend! The Hensley household is geared up for football and Andrew is beyond excited for it. He switches jerseys for whatever team is playing...either the Packers or Auburn. So lots of football on tv and in the family room.

This really is Elizabeth doing the touchdown sign. Her Daddy has taught her well!

Yeah...sorry about the Favre jersey. It needs replaced...booooo!

I took Andrew and Ella to Disney on Ice this weekend. Andrew loved it, while Ella has scared the whole first half and finally warmed up to it at intermission. The second half was all Tinkerbell so she was definitely into that. If it would have been all princesses she would have be in heaven. She did get to see Cinderella and Belle at the "Princess Preshow". Her reaction was priceless!! Her exact words were "They come to my home and pway wif me." :)

On the way there...

Souvenirs!

Poor Florida babies...they will never cut it up north. Good thing I dressed them in pants and they brought their jackets. Yes, they watched pretty much the last half of the show with their hoods up!

Here is how Ella watched the first part of the show. I think the louds noises scared her. She is deathly afraid of fireworks and there was a loud bang at the start of the show. I think that did it!

They didn't last 5 minutes in the car after the show.

Elizabeth is 9 months old!!!! Amazing! She is changing so much and getting such a cute little personality! She is pulling herself up on everything and will try and take a few steps when you hold her hands. She is attempting to climb anything and everything. Her latest trick is to crawl underneath the end tables and sit on the little ledge.

She had her 9 month check up and everything was great! The dr. was amazed at how many teeth she has. EIGHT! She weighed in at a whopping 20.6 pounds and measured 28.5 inches. She was 75th percentile for both. (Her big sister only weighs 4 pounds more than her!) But she is chatting up a storm and her latest word is Up! She just started saying it today. Her hair is hysterical and we aren't really sure what to do with it. It seems to just go crazy on top...we call it her rooster style. It just won't lay down! The first picture is a little crazy with the help of Mommy making it that way but the last one is really how it is.

Back to School

Everyone is back in school! I welcomed a new class of second graders today and Andrew went to his first day of 4 year old preschool. Daddy was the lucky one to drop him off and was instructed to take lots of pictures. Good job, Daddy! Andrew was pretty quiet about the whole thing. He tends to be with new things, but he seemed to like it. Hopefully we will get more details as the week progresses.

My class seems to be pretty good. They are a very chatty bunch so we will see how that goes and if I can curb that a bit. The girls are doing well and love being home with Daddy. Ella is OBSESSED with princesses right now. She can spot any Disney product in the stores like a hawk! We have watched Cinderella about 3 billion times with no end in sight. :) Elizabeth is still working on teeth, yes she has a total of 4 already! And I spotted three more with tips poking through! She is going to have a full set by the time she is one! She is so miserable still though. Motrin has been her best friend, for sure! That is our quick update. I am beat! The first day of school sure sucks the life out of me! Off to bed to do it all again tomorrow! Here are some pictures of Andrew's first day, a few of Ella and Elizabeth, and a priceless video of our silly little baby! I am so lucky to have these kids!!! My Last Summer Post

What a heavy heart I have tonight writing my last post of summer! I can't believe how the time flew. Wasn't I just sitting here typing that school was out and our summer was beginning?? :( But my kids are masters at the transition and do way better than I do. I have found myself tearing up randomly at how much I am going to miss all those little moments of the day. I know...what a way to torture myself! It is always so hard! Especially leaving little Elizabeth who just loves to snuggle and cuddle and calls Ma-ma-ma all day. However, how could I ask for anything more when I know they will be played with and loved by their Daddy all day! (Lucky kids and lucky Daddy!)

On a brighter note, we are looking at a busy school year. Eric is still in the thick of his schooling and doing really well! Andrew will start pre-K on the 24th. He will be going everyday from 8-11. I will again be teaching second grade and hoping for a spectacular class! (fingers crossed) And the girls will just be hanging out with Daddy and having fun! Elizabeth is on tooth number 4! We have been in teething hell for the past week or so. Poor little girl is just uncomfortable! Ella decided to join her with getting her two year molars and has also added to the whine volume in our household. Hopefully both girls will be done teething soon! I will post again when the craziness of the beginning of school dies down and I can catch my breath! Take care everyone!

Here is a video of Elizabeth when she just learned to crawl. Of course, now she goes 0-60 in a matter of seconds! :) And she throws in a little Mama at the end! :) (You can pause the music at the bottom so you can hear her sweet voice if you want.)

Andrew took swim lessons this summer and did really well! He has tried a few times to swim without his swimmies and did great! His first day of swim lessons he was ready to jump right in without his swimmies. I think he thought that since he went to one swimming class he was instantly going to know how to swim. Funny!
