Andrew had his first day of preschool today!!! He loved it and didn't even think twice about Daddy walking out the door. He immediately went to the toys and started playing. Yippee!! When he tells about his day the highlights were a book about a grumpy bear and peanut butter and crackers for snack. And in Andrew's routine driven world it was highly upsetting that they only had creamy peanut butter and not crunchy. Haha! I think they had to convince him that it was a new special kind so he would eat it since that is how he described the peanut butter to us. Funny! The teacher said he had a good day and he can't wait to go back. Here are a few pictures of our backpack toting little guy!
We are slowly getting into the swing of things with our busy new schedule. It has been a tough transition more for me than the kids. Definitely tough going back to teaching after a couple of years off. I almost feel like a first year teacher in some aspects. However, the kids have transitioned beautifully! They adjusted perfectly to Barbie's(our sitter). Ella hasn't really cried at all and when I go to get them after school they aren't in any hurry to go home. Every day this week Andrew has wanted to stay and play longer. So that is certainly nice to see. Both kids have been taking great naps there and just having a blast. It definitely makes it so nice to know they love where they are being cared for. It makes a Mom not have to worry so much!
We had a doctor's appointment last week and everything checked out just fine except for the fact that my belly measured...THREE WEEKS OVER! Even though we don't know what the sex is I can pretty much determine that we have another monster little boy growing in there. Andrew always measured a week or two bigger...never three. Ella was always perfectly on or under. So anyway, we are looking at a big baby (boy?) most likely. The doc will do another u/s after 30 weeks to determine how big. Andrew was born exactly at 37 weeks so I am thinking since this one is big too I will deliver early again (hopefully before he gets too big.) Someone just better promise to bring some turkey if I am in the hospital on Thanksgiving! ;)
We survived just fine through Tropical Storm Fay and enjoyed a nice day off with the family since everything closed in anticipation of the storm. It was just rainy and windy. Other than that, nothing much. Thank goodness!! Thanks for all the well wishes and thoughts.
