Merry Christmas!

This time last year we were just adjusting to our newest family member and here we are a whole year later with three walking and almost three talking children! What a blessing this year has been. As always it has had its ups and downs but definitely more ups! Christmas truly took on a magical feeling. We found this to be the first year that Santa's story was really grasped by our oldest. He was so excited for Santa and Ella just fed off his excitement. We can't wait till Elizabeth jumps into the mix in a couple of years! We also adopted a new tradition of "The Elf on the Shelf". "Heart", the elf, kept a watchful eye on the Hensley children the last couple of weeks before Christmas. ;) And gave Mommy and Daddy quite a bargaining chip with behavior as there were many reminders of "What is Heart going to tell Santa?". (If you aren't familiar with the Elf on the Shelf book/elf, it is an elf from the North Pole that reports to Santa each night and then reappears in the morning in some different spot in the house. It is too cute!)

Christmas morning was crazy chaotic fun but we wouldn't have had it any other way! The kids unwrapped and Mom and Dad put toys together feverishly. We played, laughed, napped and ate all day! PERFECT!! Merry Christmas Everyone! We love you all!

Christmas Eve! (Sorry no pictures of handsome Andrew. He was not in any mood for pictures.)

Santa Came! (Skye doesn't seem excited.)

Waiting to go see what Santa brought! (Although Mommy and Daddy have a sneaking suspicion that two little people were up exploring in the family room for a little bit before they came to get us!)

On to the presents...

Stella made us matching Scottie aprons! We LOVE them!

Truly a little kid at heart!
