Our Rainbow Babies!

I had never heard the term "rainbow baby" until reaching out for support after our miscarriage. With sharing and grieving, I learned that a Rainbow Baby is a baby conceived after a loss. "It is the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it doesn't mean the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with its aftermath. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds. Storm clouds may still hover but the rainbow provides a counterbalance of color, energy and hope."

With guarded excitement and hearts full of hope, we are amazingly thankful to God for blessing us with TWIN BOYS, our Rainbow Babies! Our hearts are so full of love for these little guys and could not have asked for a better way to complete our family. These miracles are due to come into the world in September. A twin pregnancy is definitely different. Even after carrying three babies relatively easily, this pregnancy is a whole new ballgame. We focus on one week at a time and hope and pray that they stay in till they are full term. The nice thing is that we see two doctors (our regular doctor and Maternal Fetal Specialist Dr) and they monitor the babies closely. We see both drs each month and around 26 weeks we will see each one every two weeks. So far they are doing really well and measuring perfectly. Please surround these babies with prayers and pray they continue to grow healthy and strong.

The Twins at 7 weeks

Baby A at 17 weeks
