Our First Grader!!!

The first day of First Grade!! Andrew was so excited to start a new school and didn't seem nervous at all (unlike his Mom). His bus was scheduled to come at 8:42 and he was dressed with his backpack on by 8:15...just waiting. :) It is very hard to transition to the "regular" parent and not the teacher parent where I know everything there is about his school and the people that are there. But I guess that is what most parents do, blindly trusting others to watch out for their kiddos. Quite a leap of faith on my part. I had always assumed I would be right down the hall teaching while he was in school. He told me last night, "Don't worry, Mommy. I will be fine." And I know he will be. Unfortunately, we waited and waited for the bus...that never came. So we had to hop in the car and make the 5 minute trip to school. He got there just in time. Hoping it comes tomorrow!
